Edit misread

I am in agreement with the editorial, “NIU’s budget already stretched.” Nowhere in this article does it say that it wants to cut back in spending on the handicapped. The article merely states that with all of the cutbacks necessary, increased spending for the handicapped is not feasible at this time.

I think the final statement sums everything up by stating, “Handicapped students will just have to tighten their belts like the rest of the campus.” This class (EPSE 200) tries to make us look past differences of all types. Well, NIU gives us the chance to be more alike. Everyone here has to struggle and hope to get the classes he/she needs, and yes, we all have to “tighten our belts.”
