DeKalb Police charged a Kishwaukee Community College student late Tuesday with the Monday rape of a 25-year-old woman.

Timothy A. Sullivan, 20, 5124 W. Lincoln Hwy., was arrested Tuesday by DeKalb Police and charged with criminal sexual assault. Sullivan is being held at DeKalb County Jail, and his bond was set at $15,000.

DeKalb Police Lt. Richard Moudy said the victim reported the assault to police on Monday at about 2 p.m. The attacker did not threaten the victim with a weapon, Moudy said.

Although Sullivan was not a stranger to the victim, Moudy said he could not comment on the nature of the assault. “I can’t say exactly what he did because of the nature of the case,” Moudy said.

The victim was treated at Kishwaukee Community Hospital, Moudy said.

The rape occurred at an apartment on the west side of DeKalb, Moudy said.

Sullivan, a Chicago native, is a second-semester student studying criminal justice at Kishwaukee Community College. He applied to NIU but did not attend.
