Tuesday

Dispatch advised that Darryl P. Mitchell Jr., 21, had a valid warrant for domestic battery. Officers located the suspect at 800 Fotis Drive. Mitchell Jr. was taken into custody, booked, and released on bond.

Officers responded to 831 W. Hillcrest Drive to serve a warrant. Shayla E. Palmer, 24, was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis.

At 8:57 a.m., officers received a report of a suicidal subject at 1116 W. Lincoln Highway Apartment. Upon arrival, it was learned that the subject on the scene, Dennis P. Kenzler, 62, had an active warrant. Kenzler was charged with failure to appear—driving with a suspended license and transported to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.

At 1:18 p.m., officers responded to Walmart, 2300 Sycamore Road, for a report of retail theft. The suspect, Tatanne M. Butler, 21, failed to pay for lip gloss valued at $4.74. Butler was charged with retail theft and released on bond.
