By Rhema Rhea | January 13, 2014

The Bulls are getting into shape following the team’s Luol Deng trade, despite a Monday loss. The Bulls (17-19) could not get it done at home against the Washington Wizards Monday night. The Wizards snapped the Bulls’ five-game win streak, which was...

Bulls to keep core in offseason

By Jacob Onak | July 1, 2013

With all the big offseason trades and acquisition rumors going around in the NBA, don’t expect the Bulls to make any moves. In fact, expect there to be a couple of faces from last year’s team disappearing.Nate Robinson, who played such a big role for...

Bulls exceed expectations in Rose’s absence

By Brian Earle | January 23, 2013

For all the talk about how bad the Bulls would be without star point guard Derrick Rose, they have exceeded peoples expectations. Rose has not seen any action this season as he has been recovering from a knee injury he suffered in the first round of the...

The Rant: Ripping into Rip

By Jimmy Johnson | April 4, 2012

It’s time to forget the notion Richard Hamilton is going to contribute for the Chicago Bulls.

I, for one, am waiting for a collage featuring Hamilton sitting on the Bulls’ bench holding his head up and sporting his egg white headband.

It’s funny how Hamilton was pegged as the acquisition to get the Bulls past the Miami Heat.

Instead, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade will likely blow past him if these two teams meet in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Hamilton hasn’t been a huge disappointment, though, if you didn’t have pie-in-the-sky expectations for him.

Look at the facts: prior to joining the Bulls, Hamilton’s combined minutes from the regular season and playoffs was 32,580.

He’s old, beat up and with it being a condensed NBA season, he’s out of place.

The Bulls’ only chance to hoist the Larry O’Brien trophy will come down to getting top-notch performances from Derrick Rose, Carlos Boozer, Joakim Noah and Luol Deng, and not from Mr. Glass.

The Rant: Cut the NBA season moving forward

By Sean Anderson | February 14, 2012

Thanks to the NBA lockout, this year's season was shortened from the regular 82 games to 66.Teams, like the Chicago Bulls, are facing more injuries and fatigue as they have to play as many as five games in a week, and sometimes even three games in a row.Derrick...

The Rant: No bull in here

By Jimmy Johnson | April 17, 2011

Tyler Hansbrough's weak-attempt at the "Jordan Rule" on Derrick Rose didn't fly with Luol Deng. Bleedy-McShooty thought he could give Rose a bump in the lane and get away with it during the Saturday matinee between the Bulls and Pacers. Not until Deng...

The Rant: So sorry, Luol

By Jimmy Johnson | March 6, 2011

Luol Deng, oh how I thought I knew thee. I chastised the Chicago Bulls for signing you to a six-year, $71 million extension in summer of 2008. I questioned the severity of your "injury" in 2009 and thought it was just another example of you being a human...
