NIU fans view MAC game from local spots

Fatty’s Pub and Grille, 1312 W. Lincoln Highway, hosted a watch party for the Mid-American Conference championship, where students reacted to NIU beating Bowling Green, 51-17.

“It was pretty awesome to see the game. We did a lot of great passes this time around,” said senior English major Lena Al-Loussi, who attended the pub’s watch party. “It was also really different to watch it on TV as opposed to being in the stands, since last year I was in the marching band so I got to actually go to it. It’s a completely different atmosphere watching it with a couple of friends.”

This was Fatty’s fifth time hosting a watch party for the game. Guests were given a special NIU football schedule beer mug for coming to the party.
