There is no doubt that Patrick Dempsey holds a place in the hearts of many “Grey’s Anatomy” fans. From his role as McDreamy in the hospital drama to his role as a sheriff in the 2023 movie “Thanksgiving,” Dempsey has proven to be a versatile actor. 

While some may not be familiar with him, at one point or another his face has, most likely, crossed your screen – either on the big screen or television. With an established career and a reputation for being sexy, Dempsey was always in the running for the Sexiest Man Alive award. 

In November 2023, Dempsey was named the Sexiest Man Alive, according to People Magazine. As an older man, some question if someone else should have been chosen. Chris Evans, last year’s winner, catered to a younger audience. 

At 57, Dempsey has participated in many endeavors, from being the love interest in “Enchanted” to racing cars, according to Vanity Fair. 

Sexiest Man Alive is another award Dempsey can claim as his own. The actor certainly has a decorated career. This award joins many others, including multiple People’s Choice Awards, an Emmy nomination and Screen Actors Guild Awards, according to IMDB. 

While he may seem like an unorthodox winner, Dempsey could be described as a silver fox. However, there is most definitely debate about his alleged role as a silver fox.
