Fallon arrested for second time

One of last spring’s candidates for Student Association president was arrested Friday for having an open container of alcohol in public.

John Fallon, 20, 145 Harrison St., was arrested by DeKalb Police on the alcohol violation, making the second time in seven months he was arrested for an alcohol-related incident.

Police saw Fallon walking east at 835 Greenbrier Road with an open can of Miller Lite beer in his hand. When police approached him, Fallon threw his beer down, police said.

Fallon refused to comment on the charges, but said the arrest would not affect his upcoming SA supreme court appointments, and that he wants to lead a private life outside the public eye.

Fallon is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 19.
