Trevor Noah comes to Convocation Center

DeKALB — “The Daily Show” host Trevor Noah is bringing his political satire and sly wit to NIU 7 p.m. Saturday at the Convocation Center.

Trevor Noah took over hosting “The Daily Show” from comedian Jon Stewart in 2014 after Stewart retired. This year, “The Daily Show” has been nominated for a Writers Guild Award in a Comedy/Variety Series.

Noah has published an autobiography titled “Born a Crime,” which was met with praise. He was nominated for “Personality of the Year” at the 2014 and 2015 MTV Africa Music Awards and won the award in 2015.

Noah has been named one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time Magazine in 2018 and has an extensive career in stand-up comedy behind him, including two Netflix specials, “Afraid of the Dark” and “Trevor Noah: Lost in Translation.”
