With Halloween only days away, preparing treats does not require a full kitchen. Here is an easy recipe for Halloween chocolate bark that takes less than 15 minutes to prepare.

Ingredients:

8 oz of white chocolate

Mini pretzels

Food coloring

Halloween sprinkles

S’mores mix pieces

Utensils:

Two glass bowls

Two spoons

Wax paper

Decorative tray (optional)

Directions:

1. Break apart the white chocolate bars and put them in a glass bowl or measuring cup. Glass works better for heating chocolate and keeping it warm.

2. Place the bowl in the microwave for one minute. If it is not fully melted, put the chocolate back in the microwave for 30 second increments until smooth.

3. Separate the chocolate into two separate bowls. Add food coloring of choice to dye the chocolate. Mix the colors in well and set aside.

4. Lay down parchment paper and pour part of the chocolate onto the paper. Smooth it out and spread it around.

5. Sprinkle the s’mores mix across the chocolate. Don’t put too much or the rest of the ingredients may not stick.

6. Drizzle more chocolate across it. Either color can be used for this part.

7. Put a few mini pretzels on the chocolate. Whole ones are not required. To not overload the chocolate bark, crunch the pretzels in hand and sprinkle them across. Both options can be used.

8. Drizzle the rest of the chocolate across the top. This will hold all the ingredients together. More s’mores pieces can be added as well after the chocolate has been drizzled.

9. Shake Halloween sprinkles across the top of the chocolate. Place the bark in the freezer for 10 minutes and check to make sure it’s solid.

10. Break the bark apart into pieces and place in a dish or container.

This recipe is a quick and easy way to spice up a dorm room Halloween party or just to keep as a personal spooky, sweet treat. The recipe can be doubled for large groups or cut in half. Either way, it’s bound to be an addicting treat this Halloween season.
