Here’s what some NIU students had on their playlists this week.
Senior economics major Kyle Urbashich said his favorite song right now is “Formation” by Beyoncé, and that pop and dance music are his favorite music genres.
“I like to go out with friends and it’s fun and easy to dance to,” Urbashich said. “I especially like Beyoncé.”
“’Fade’ by Kanye West is my favorite song,” said junior communication major Cesar Ortega. “Hip-hop is my favorite type because I like the rappers that talk about real life issues.”
Junior psychology major Andria DeBerry said her favorite song is “Formation” by Beyoncé.
“I like pop because it includes a lot of artists like Lady Gaga, Beyoncé and Katy Perry who all have different styles of music,“ DeBerry said. “It’s catchy and attracting.”
