An off-campus shooting was reported to have occurred at 3:30 a.m. Saturday at 1076 Ridge Road in DeKalb, according to an NIU safety bulletin.

The suspect is described as a male with dreadlocks wearing a blue puffy coat who fled the scene in a four-door Pontiac with three other individuals, according to the safety bulletin.

The area is being searched by police.
