Irongate vote won’t come up at City Council

By Jessi Haish

At the Sept. 23 meeting of City Council, the council approved the first reading of the Irongate of DeKalb Subdivision ordinance. It was planned to be considered at today’s meeting; however, the second reading will be postponed as seventh ward alderman Monica O’Leary will be out of town.

The item will be postponed until the city’s Oct. 28 meeting so all members of council are present. Irongate is a proposed subdivision development that would add more than 1,000 housing units to the city of DeKalb near DeKalb High School on Dresser Road.
