Sunday

At 1:01 a.m., a DeKalb police officer traveling westbound in the 700 block of West Lincoln Highway observed a passenger not wearing a seat belt in a vehicle. The officer initiated a traffic stop. The passenger, Damien J. Cuevas, 30, of DeKalb, was charged with failure to register as a sex offender and failure to wear a seat belt.

At 3:38 p.m., Kenesha M. Harris, 22, of South Holland, came to the DeKalb Police Department to turn herself in on a warrant. Dispatch confirmed Harris had an active warrant for mob action. Harris was booked, released on bond and given a new court date.

Monday

At 1:35 a.m., DeKalb police were searching a condemned residence in the 900 block of Sharon Drive. An officer located an unlocked garage overhead door and an ajar door leading to the residence. Police located Patrick K. Owens, 20, who is listed as a transient, and found Owens had an active warrant in DeKalb County for criminal damage to government property. Owens was arrested and also charged with criminal trespass to a residence.
