City blotter for 10/01/10

The following was taken directly from area police and fire department records, or from the DeKalb County court records. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.

At 7:14 p.m. Wednesday, DeKalb Police responded to a call about a dispute between a husband and wife. When police arrived, it was determined the wife had two active warrants. Rebecca H. Walczyk, 35 of DeKalb, was arrested on two failure to appear warrants for driving with a suspended license. Walczyk was sent to the DeKalb Police station and later released on bond.

At 6:26 p.m. Wednesday, while investigating a fight, a witness informed the DeKalb Police that another witness may have an active warrant. Police spoke with Tanya K. Boorsma, 31 of DeKalb, and through a check found she had an active warrant. Boorsma was arrested on a failure to appear warrant for shoplifting. Boorsma was sent to the DeKalb Police station and later released on bond.
