The following was taken directly from area police and fire department records, or from the DeKalb County court records. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.

At 12:30 p.m. Sunday, DeKalb Police responded to a call for violating an order of protection. The officer was told the female’s husband continuously drove past while she was removing items from her house. She then drove to a house in the 800 block of North First Street. While speaking with the complainant, the officer was shown the husband’s car driving up the street. The car was later stopped in the 1700 block of Oakwood. Alfredo Diaz, 76 of DeKalb was arrested for no valid driver’s license, violation of an order of protection and original warrant – violating an order of protection (x2).
