DeKALB — NIU announced Monday that 13 additional students and three employees have tested positive for the coronavirus, and 11 students have recovered, according to the Campus COVID-19 Dashboard. As of Monday, 49 students and nine employees are currently COVID-19 positive.

The dashboard’s cumulative testing statistics show a total of 492 Huskies that have tested positive for COVID-19, and 434 have recovered.

As of  Monday at 3:00 p.m., NIU is at 11.7%  quarantine and isolation use, this is a 3% decrease from Friday.

Surveillance testing 

NIU administered 506 COVID-19 tests during the week of Nov. 9 for surveillance testing. The positivity rate was 2.4%, with 12 recorded positive results, according to surveillance testing data.

Surveillance testing data is updated on the dashboard website every Monday, or on a Tuesday if a holiday falls on a Monday.
