Where to find a COVID-19 vaccine in DeKalb

DeKALB – Individuals who meet certain criteria in the DeKalb area are able to receive the COVID-19 vaccine from several local locations.
Available locations in DeKalb include:
- The DeKalb County Health Department, 2550 N. Annie Glidden Road;
- Jewel-Osco Pharmacy, 1320 Sycamore Road;
- Hy-Vee Pharmacy, 2700 DeKalb Ave. and
- Walgreens Pharmacy, 100 W. Lincoln Highway
All vaccinations, regardless of location, are to be administered by appointment only, according to the DCHD.
Individuals who are currently eligible to receive the vaccine include health-care workers, childcare workers, corrections officers and inmates, employees in other essential industries and the elderly.
Beginning Feb. 25, individuals 16 and older with comorbidities and underlying conditions as defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, will also be eligible to receive the vaccine, according to the DCHD.
There is no cost for individuals receiving the vaccination, according to the DCHD.
I’m pastor of the SDA Church and I’m serving the community and I’m visiting people I troubles. I need be healthy in order protect others.
I recommend getting the vaccine have had it in with no complications so please get vaccinated
Got my first vaccine at Hyvee on 1-28-2021.
Would love to lock in the second but cannot find a way to do so via the Hyvee web system.
