DeKALB — NIU announced Monday that one additional student and two employees have tested positive for the coronavirus, and one student and one employee have recovered, according to the Campus COVID-19 Dashboard. As of Monday, two students and four employees are currently COVID-19 positive.

The dashboard’s cumulative testing statistics show a total of 813 Huskies that have tested positive for COVID-19, and 807 have recovered.

As of Monday at 3 p.m., NIU is at a 0% quarantine and isolation use, the same as Friday.

Surveillance testing 

NIU administered 1,856 COVID-19 tests during the week of March 15 for surveillance testing. The positivity rate was 0.10%, with one recorded positive result, according to surveillance testing data.

Surveillance testing data is updated on the dashboard website every Monday, or on a Tuesday if a holiday falls on a Monday.
