DeKALB — NIU announced Monday that three additional students and no employees have tested positive for the coronavirus, and no students and one employee have recovered, according to the Campus COVID-19 Dashboard. As of Monday, nine students and three employees are currently COVID-19 positive.

The dashboard’s cumulative testing statistics show a total of 821 Huskies that have tested positive for COVID-19, and 809 have recovered.

As of Monday at 3 p.m., NIU is at a 1.8% quarantine and isolation use, a 0.6% increase from Friday.

Surveillance testing 

NIU administered 2,070 COVID-19 tests during the week of March 22 for surveillance testing. The positivity rate was 0.30%, with six recorded positive result, according to surveillance testing data.

Surveillance testing data is updated on the dashboard website every Monday, or on a Tuesday if a holiday falls on a Monday.
