DeKalb – The Tails Humane Society’s Pet of the week for April 19 is a 2-year-old old large, mixed-breed dog named Sky.

Sky is a very happy dog, whose tail is always wagging. She is great with all age groups and other dogs as well, in fact being very motherly in nature to a smaller dog she used to live with, according to her description on Tails’ website.

In addition to being a great family dog, Sky is also very behaved when left home alone.

While she is a little big, weighing close to 50 lbs, she will be a loving and excellent companion. Sky is not being held in the main dog area of the shelter, so those interested in meeting her must ask to be introduced.

If interested in adopting, Tails Humane Society, 2250 Barber Greene Road, is open for walk-ins from noon to 7 p.m. weekdays and noon to 5:30 p.m. on weekends.
