3 students, no employees test positive for COVID-19

DeKALB – NIU announced on Thursday that 3 students and 0 employees have tested positive for COVID-19 and 2 students and no employees have recovered, according to the Campus COVID-19 dashboard.

The dashboard’s cumulative statistics show that 131 students have tested positive for COVID-19 and 104 have recovered since the semester began on August 23.

Surveillance Testing

NIU administered 1,847 COVID-19 tests since the week of Sept. 13 for surveillance testing. The positivity rate was 0.54% with 10 positive test results, according to surveillance testing data. Surveillance testing data is updated on the dashboard every Monday or on a Tuesday if the holiday falls on a Monday.
