6 additional students, 1 employee test positive for COVID-19

DeKALB – NIU announced on Thursday that 6 students and 1 have tested positive for COVID-19 and 0 students and 0 employees have recovered, according to the Campus COVID-19 dashboard.

The dashboard’s cumulative statistics show that 183 students have tested positive for COVID-19 and 169  have recovered since the semester began on August 23.

NIU administered 1573 tests since the week of October 11 for surveillance testing. The positivity rate was 0.13% with 2 positive test results, according to surveillance testing data. Surveillance testing is updated on the dashboard every Monday or on a Tuesday if the holiday falls on a Monday.
