The following was taken directly from area police and fire department records, or from DeKalb County court records. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.

Sept. 11, 2012

At 4:11 p.m., officers responded to 1325 W. Lincoln Highway to serve an FTA warrant out of Stephenson County. Upon arrival, it was learned that the subject, Jacob. Fruit, 30, was inside the residence. Officers spoke to him and took him into custody. Fruit was arrested on a valid warrant for driving with a suspended license. He was transported to the police department and booked. He was unable to post bond and was then transported to DCSO.

At 8:48 p.m., officers responded to Hope Haven, 1145 Rushmore Drive, in reference to a warrant attempt. Jacob Roodhouse, 21, was taken into custody for parole violation and possession of cannabis.
