Men’s golf sits in ninth place at Arlington

The NIU men’s golf team sits in ninth place after two rounds of play at the University of Texas-Arlington Shootout.

The Huskies shot a 611 in their first day at the Waterchase Country Club Monday. Jeff Dick and Tim Kay both shot rounds of 76 and 75 and tie for 18th place at the shootout.

Andrew Frame shot a team-best 74 in the first round and a 152 on the day.

Men’s tennis

NIU men’s tennis finished its fall season at the 2008 Marquette Fall Invitational.

The Huskies won the Flight B singles consolation finals match and advanced to two others Sunday. The Flight B doubles team defeated the UWGB duo but lost to Marquette in the semifinals 9-8.

Women’s tennis

NIU women’s tennis was tested at the ITA Regionals at Michigan State last weekend.

Martina Schnapp lost in the singles draw match. Sara McLaughlin and Emily Rogers formed the Huskies’ doubles team at the regional. The pair dropped its match against Notre Dame 8-1.
