Next week, there will be a unique selection of media coming out for your enjoyment. From the newest Marvel film to a pop icon’s debut album, the coming week has many exciting releases.

“The Marvels”

The Marvel Cinematic Universe returns with another film, the sequel to “Captain Marvel.” “The Marvels” has not one but three “Marvels:” Carol Danvers, Kamala Khan and Monica Rambeau.

When the heroes’ powers begin to intertwine with each other, Danvers soon realizes something is amiss in the universe. The film follows the classic MCU plotline where it has its main protagonists saving the universe from evil. Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) returns to the Marvel scene again, acting as the wise caretaker who guides our favorite superheroes.

“The Marvels” will be released in theaters on Nov. 10.

“Heaven Knows”

PinkPantheress, best known for her viral song “Boy’s a liar,” will be releasing her debut album Nov. 10. The album, titled “Heaven Knows,” took her two years to complete and will feature 13 songs.

The album will explore grief and how to be okay sitting in one’s aloneness, according to her website. So, prepare to cry. Instead of an upbeat, pop LP, PinkPantheress seems to be taking listeners into a personal space and delving into the different types of relationships she has/had.

Those who are interested in pre-ordering the album can do so through her website

“Pencils vs Pixels”

For a different type of film that celebrates hand-drawn animation in Disney, “Pencils vs Pixels” releases Nov. 7 on Apple TV and Roku.

The documentary delves into the transition from 2D animation to 3D animation that took place in Hollywood in the last few decades. Disney’s animation is at the center of all our childhoods and this documentary will have viewers experiencing the magic of how those films were created and the people who played roles in drawing the cartoons. The 1990s and the 2000s are deemed the renaissance of animation due to the artists that carried the animation business.

For an educational, fun watch, give “Pencils vs Pixels” a try.
