It’s a tumultuous time for us. Midterms are here, the weather is changing, and with it, our moods can too. Don’t be discouraged. Mercury leaves retrograde Oct. 18. While we wait for this period to come to a close, we should clean our rooms, study a bit harder and communicate with kindness.

It’s going to be OK. Amidst the chaos of your normal life, find some downtime to read a book or watch a beloved movie. Reach out to someone you haven’t talked to in a while. They miss you.

Be gentle with yourself and the people around you. Just because you don’t have it all together doesn’t mean you’re not trying. Spend quality time with a pet or watch some funny animal videos.

Chill out. You’re stressed, and that’s valid. Remind yourself to breathe. You are an air sign, after all. Breath is life, and you’re stifling yourself. Whenever there is sunshine, allow yourself to soak it in.

Be your own best friend. No one can save you but yourself. Cook a fun and interesting recipe to give your life some more variety. Don’t stress about the inevitable clean-up that will happen afterward — you’ll get to it when you get to it.

Hold yourself to a realistic standard. It’s impossible for everything to go your way 100% of the time. Research something new. You might learn something about yourself in the process.

Cut the B.S. You’re putting on a façade because you think people won’t accept you in your honest messiness. It’s OK to reach out for help. Look up some grounding exercises and try one out to connect to your element— earth.

Happy birth season! Celebrate yourself and your accomplishments. Give yourself some extra self-care, not only because you deserve it but also because the future is unpredictable. Prepare for difficulty, even if it never comes.

Protect your energy. Even though you think you’re ready, you still have so much to learn. Don’t worry about the pace you’re at; just continue moving forward. Make yourself a warm drink to soothe your soul.

You know the drill. Times are strange for you, and you have no choice but to adapt. Be careful who you socialize with. COVID-19 is still a real and dangerous thing.

Hold yourself accountable. Bridge the gap on your own for a change by making friends with someone you normally wouldn’t. Aloofness will help no one.

Don’t let your hobbies become a crutch. Remember to take your meds and stick to a schedule. The worst of this period has passed. All you have to do now is roll with the punches.

Find the beauty in your life. You’re naturally artistic, so it shouldn’t be too hard. Encourage your friends to find beauty alongside you. Analyze deeply before you make any important decisions.
