The recent new moon and eclipse has opened many doors for some people, but it has been overwhelming and discouraging for many others. Whichever category you fall into, know that what you’re feeling is valid. It would do well for many of us to remember that what goes up must come down and vice versa. If you’re down, you will be able to pick yourself back up again.

Aries (March 20 to April 19)

Be kind to yourself. Lately you may feel like the world is out to get you, and maybe someone is. This is no reflection on who you are. Don’t blame yourself for the reactions and unkindness of others. It can be hard not to be offended or hurt, and if you are, don’t shut it out; instead, try softening your perspective of the situation. 

Taurus (April 20 to May 20)

Happy birth season! As the next few weeks of your season fly in, remember that being the center of attention can hurt as well as help. Whether you prefer being in the middle of it all or on the outskirts, you must learn to appreciate what either side has to offer and try to be comfortable with what is headed your way.

Gemini (May 21 to June 20)

Are you afraid of the future? Don’t be too scared, but stay on alert for the time being. You are strong enough to face whatever struggle may present itself in the coming weeks. Life can throw problems at you that end up being both a nuisance and character development. Embrace that duality if you can.

Cancer (June 21 to July 21)

Release your excess feelings. If you’ve been particularly uptight or anxious lately, it may be time for you to emotionally cleanse yourself. Stop holding in all of your worries and stress. Letting it out will detoxify you and you’ll be able to see more clearly and maybe even breathe a little easier. Relax your jaw and maybe cry a little.

Leo (July 22 to Aug. 22)

Has somebody hurt you recently? Don’t go seeking revenge, but try to see where they were coming from. Did they actually want to hurt you or were they trying to help you? Often, meanness comes from a place of deep love. Try not to get offended by other people’s actions if you know they want the best for you.

Virgo (Aug. 23 to Sept. 22)

Bridge the gap. Lately you’ve been distant and scatterbrained, which may be new for you. Take a deep breath and pull yourself together. People are reaching out to you, but you might be too distracted to notice them. Try to reach back for them. You are very loved and people want you to know and reciprocate it.

Libra (Sept. 23 to Oct. 22)

Take a risk. As the sign of the scales of justice, you prefer to be as middle-of-the-road as possible, which can lead to you having an almost neutral personality. Granted, you have opinions, but you carefully weigh your options before committing to anything. Try to do something wild and weird this week; see where it leads you!

Scorpio (Oct. 23 to Nov. 21)

Treat yourself. The energy surrounding you might be a little more cold and bleak than usual, which isn’t always a bad thing, but it can be disheartening. Whatever you can do to make yourself happy will benefit you later on when you can look back and appreciate that you took care of yourself when you needed it.

Sagittarius (Nov. 21 to Dec. 20)

Don’t commit to too much too soon. It’s often true what they say about Sagittarians, that they are deathly afraid of commitment. In this time and place, however, this approach may be warranted. You already have a lot on your plate, so make sure that you know exactly what it is you’re about to sign up for.

Capricorn (Dec. 21 to Jan. 19)

Are you avoiding people? Many earth signs like to seclude themselves when they are stressed because it helps them to focus and recuperate. If this is what you happen to be doing, for whatever stressor is currently presenting itself, this is your reminder that it’s OK to ask for help. Your loved ones are here for you.

Aquarius (Jan. 20 to Feb. 17)

Get back to your roots. While classes wind down, you may find yourself feeling nostalgic or homesick, which can affect your classwork. Try to reminisce and reconnect with home or whatever equivalent makes you feel most empowered. Then, you can come back to your classes with the energy to finish strong.

Pisces (Feb. 18 to March 19)

Apply a new mindset. You have boundless energy for the projects you care about, but often you may feel like what you bring to the table isn’t enough. If you feel dragged down by your own self-image, perhaps you need to shift how you view yourself or your work. Compartmentalize and figure out how to best see your life.
